Opposing school - Invocation

Earth to mud

Summons water to the targets feet, turning it to soft mire, slowing their progress considerably.

Material component- Water and earth(Minor spell)

Pour the liquid and earth out and call with a forceful gesture at your intended target  vocals that end in “MUDFEET”. The target of this spell can only move at a quarter speed for a slow count of 30. They can fight normally however.

Mending

Repairs destroyed armour and weapons, returning them to the peak of quality and purging minor curses.

Material component- Prepared parchment (for example a parchment with a charcoal sketch of the item)(Major spell)

Chanting over the destroyed artifact the magic draws all the damage together to return it back to its full working ability destroying the parchment in the process. Only effects one artifact and will not purge mighty curses.

Crafted Strength

Strengthen the fibres of organic materials to take greater stress and damage.

Material component- dry leaves and a small coloured glyph on the item(Minor spell)

Chanting over the item to be strengthened, the caster makes the artifact immune to one crushing blow. Subsequent blows effect it as normal. This spell can only effect natural materials such as wooden shields.

Acid burn

A ranged attack for the caster to deal damage from afar.

Material component- liquid, anything that you are happy to have on your hands.(Minor spell)

Acid burn does one point of poison damage to an unamoured location, dropping the target to the floor in agony for a slow count of 30. If armoured the acid destroys the armour, rendering it useless to the location struck and dealing one point of damage to the location.- Pour liquid onto hand then hold up hands and cast using vocals ending in ACID BURN

Shocking grasp

Surrounds the casters hands with crackling energy and turns them into terrible weapons.

Material component- scented oil(Major spell)

Rubbing the oil on the hands then gripping the recipient and repeating vocals ending in “SHOCKING GRASP” over and over to deliver damage. Delivers one hit point of electrical damage per 3 seconds of contact

Shatter

Reaching across the void pulls a terrible force inside of the artifact and destroying it utterly so only magic can restore it.

Material component- something crushable(Major)

Using strong mannerisms, the crushing of your components and focused vocals ending “I SHATTER THAT *****”. The item is then rendered useless and must be discarded.

Barrier

Using foci made from natural materials, a spell renders the line of the foci into an impenetrable barrier for a set time, more refined and elaborate foci have been known to last a few days.

Material component- Three or more foci (for example skulls on sticks wrapped in ribbon and feathers)(Minor spell)

A line of foci, no less than three placed no more than 6ft apart and chanting while setting up. Calling on the denizens of the void, a caster imbues the line with terrible spirits and entities which attack the mind of any that cross. The more elaborate the physrep the more powerful the charm.

Stinking cloud

Flung from the cater the stinking cloud drives all air breathing creatures away from the effected area as the smell drives them off.

Material component- Pouch of dried herbs or flowers(Major spell)

Chanting and gesturing for a slow count of 10 the caster throws the spell component to the targeted area with the concluding vocals “I SUMMON THE STINKING CLOUD”. All creatures must move away from the terrible smog to at least 6ft away to breath easier.

 

An example of an Epic spell could be a large barrier effecting a group of players or across a gateway etc
