

Dwarves
There are a few different sort of Dwarf the most common is stone dwarves. There are also Nomadic Dwarves who live in hotter climes but are basically the same as stone dwarves they have simply adapted to live in a different climate. The last sort is the deep dwarves or duaegar who live in the under dark and are considered outcaste because they deal with Drow and are often violent and untrustworthy. Dwarves can live for up to 200 years old, they are considered to have reached adulthood at the age of 25.
What do they look like?
Stone Dwarves are usually shorter than average humans they are of large build stocky muscular and bigger built. All dwarves have beards even the females worn in a variety of styles mostly a beard is considered a sign of fertility and maturity and therefore is grown long, plaited or adorned with trinkets. They have any number of skin and hair colour but usually pale ruddy complexion and with blond, brown or red hair. Dwarven women may be of a slighter build and have smoother beard hair but often its hard to tell the difference.
Nomadic dwarves are of the same build as stone but they tend to have a darker complexion and darker hair. They tend to keep their beards neater and sometimes plait mat or curl them into elaborate styles.
Duaegar are ashen skinned from pasty white to darker grey in skin tone they have white to black shades of beard and hair.
How do they dress?
Stone dwarves wear strongly made tunics and trousers from coarse wools and linens often in any colour and often with check weaves. They like to use thick braids on their tunics and cloaks often embroidered with runes and symbols. Furs and leathers are common as are heavy boots and packs which they tend to carry well equipped with everything they may need for a journey. Stone dwarves do like to wear hats or hoods. They also wear large but well crafted jewellery like torcs, penanulars and broaches.
Nomadic Dwarves wear more loose fitting layered clothes many layers of thinner materials silks and cottons. They often wear head scarves or wraps around their head to keep the heat off. They will wear looser fitting hareem style trousers with tunics and robes. They wear more plain dye fabrics which are often bleached out by the sun. They wear gold jewellery again rings and cuffs as well as neck and arm torcs in a similar style to that of the stone dwarves. Female nomadic dwarves tend to black their eyes with charcoal.
Duaegar dress in dowdy practical clothes thick fabrics and leathers. Fashion not being an important aspect of duaegar society.
What do they do?
Stone dwarves and nomadic dwarves are excellent stone masons. They are sort after for construction and architecture. Also they are superb and determined miners going after any metal or gemstone deposits they can find. They are master craftsmen creating the most sturdy weapons and armour available. Dwarven tailoring is sturdy and well made they like quality strong fabrics which last well in their environment.
Dwarves are not much for hunting or farming they do as much as they need to to get by but prefer to trade for food stuffs where possible. They do brew quite a lot of ale, mead and spirits however.
What weapons do they use?
Dwarves make all sorts of weapons and what they make is the strongest and most well made of its kind. They favour axes and hammers themselves with shields. But can make almost anything . They make superbly fitted metal plate armour and chain from the finest metals. They make siege weaponry also.
