Enchant weapon
Chanting over the weapon and drawing magic into it very fibre the caster can give a small weapon sufficient power to give enhanced strength to the first blow it makes. Some denizens of the world are not affected by conventional weapons and with this charm; the weapon exists on all the separate plains of existence.
Material component- Holy water (Minor spell)
Chanting over the physrep and pouring the holy water over the blade gives it the power of a mighty enchanted weapon for its first strike. The user of the weapon with this charm must continuously chant while the power resides and on the strike and expulsion of the energy into the target must intone a suitable curse for its first strike. For example on the strike you could say “....My power strikes you asunder”.
Charm person.
Using beguiling vocals, the target of the spell will become friendlier to the caster and will not attack them; they also will be more inclined to do as you ask. It may take a few moments or several minutes for the spell to take effect depending on the target. Some races are immune to this and some may even be able to tell you are trying to charm them, so beware. The result, length and strength of the spell will vary opponent to opponent.
Material component- Scented oils (Minor spell)
Material components are rubbed into the hand and contact is made to the recipient and the mage must verbalise the spell to their opponent with a litany of verbals starting clearly with “I charm you”, as you keep speaking to the target the spell is in effect.
Scare
Using forceful vocal commands and gestures, the mage can incite someone to a magically induced fearful state. The recipient must get away from the caster and hide as quickly as possible. This spell affects only one at a time and lasts up a slow count of 30 or until dispelled. The recipient will then be very wary of the caster.
Vocal component (Major spell)
The mage must verbalise the spell to their opponent with a loud clap and a gesture to the recipient with a litany of verbals describing their worsening state, you keep speaking until the target is in full fear frenzy after a slow count of 30, for example - Spiders all around you, crawling into your hair and eyes, etc.
Sleep
Using gentle vocal commands, gestures and material components the mage can soothe someone to a magically induced sleep. Done right even in the heat of battle this spell can be utilised if the mage can make their opponent listen. This spell affects only one at a time and lasts up to ten minutes. If the recipient is struck they will awaken immediately.
Material component- Fine sand (Major spell)
Material components are poured and let fall to the ground in front of the target and the mage must verbalise the spell to their opponent with a loud clap and a gesture to the recipient with a litany of verbals describing their worsening state, you keep speaking until the target is asleep after a slow count of 30, for example - You are growing sleepier and sleepier, your muscles are tired and weary , etc
Blind
The powerful spell is instant and the opponent will be blinded for 60 seconds which can only removed by a remove curse charm.
Material component-White powder (Major spell)
Material components are thrown in the air with this spell and the mage must verbalise the spell to their opponent with a loud clap and a gesture to the recipient with the cry “WITH MY GREAT SUMMONING OF POWER I ENCHANT YOU STRUCK BLIND“(or somthing along those guide lines in order that the recipient can react correctly)
Silence
The spell is instant and the opponent will be struck deaf and mute for up to ten minutes. Can not cast spells for the duration of the spell.
Material component-Small feathers (Minor spell)
Material components are thrown in the air with this spell and the mage must verbalise the spell to their opponent with a loud clap and a gesture to the recipient with the vocals ending in “I STRIKE YOU SILENCED“(in order that they can react correctly)
Enfeeblement
This spell makes the recipient weak as a kitten; lacking in strength completely for the duration of the verbals. They feel as if their bone and their weapons are made of lead forcing them to move at half speed and with great effort.
Material component- dry flowers (minor spell)
Material components are crumbled and thrown in the air with this spell and the mage should verbalise the spell to their opponent with a loud clap and a gesture to the recipient with a litany of verbals describing their worsening state, While you are speaking to the target the spell is in effect (in order that they can react correctly, for example - You are growing weaker and weaker, your muscles are weak as an old woman’s, etc)
Enchanted voice
Through concentration and ritual the caster can send limited communication over vast distances. In this world this is one of the few ways to send messages afar with out endangering their souls at the very least.
Material component- A candle and mirror (minor spell)
Holding the mirror to your face with the candle between you and the mirror, the caster can chant the spell and then the message throwing their voice across the void. There is a chance that the message can become garbled if uttered weakly so concentration is key. (Tell a ref on completion of the message sent and they will tell you how successful you were)
